Hello everyone! Today I talk about a topic of moral integrity.
When it comes to honesty, I remember the story of "wolf coming" when I was a child. I learned that a good child should be honest and not lie. I think last year's college entrance essay: a young man trudging in the long road of life, when a ferry, he already has a "healthy" and "beauty" and "integrity" and "smart" and "learning", "money", "honor" seven backpack. Open the ferry is calm, soon the rolling of the boat, raging like a storm, signs of danger appearing everywhere. The boatman said: "small boat load, sir must discard a knapsack can be through." Because honesty is life. 65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2002, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.
Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.

good morning everybody. it is true that most of us value honesty highly. however, nowadays we often confront confidence crisis such as cheating, overcharging, fake commodities and so on. i think that we should be honest because being honest is not only beneficial to ourselves but also to others and the whole society. the reasons can be listed as follows.firstly, only honest people can be truly respected by the others and can make more friends over a long period of time. secondly, honesty, which is the traditional virtue of the chinese people, can make our life easier and more harmonious. thirdly, honesty can make our society more stable. a case in point is that singapore, a society featuring trustworthiness and integrity, has a comparatively low criminal rate. responsbility can be understood in many ways. for the parents , they have had the responsibility for caring for and fostering their children since the birth of their baby.for teachers,both in kindergartens and colleges,they also should be responsible for the study and life of their students,that is to say,teahers are the second parents of children somewhile. for us,as a friend of others,it is our responsibility to help our friends when they are in trouble or faced with difficulties. each one has the different responsibily based on their roles but we must take it for granted that we are responsible for the society. that is all ,thank you .
