My Dream---to Be a Translator

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It?s a great honor to share my dream with you . The topic of my speech is “My dream ----to be a great translator”.

As we all know, everyone has a beautiful dream, so do I. My dream is to be a great translator when I grow up, because I like travelling and love communicating with interesting people .

If I become a great translator, I would be able to talk with many foreigners in English freely and fluently, like Liyang, Yaoming and Lina. They are all outstanding people of China. I really admire them, as they are so cool. On the other hand, if I become a good translator, I could do many things for our country and Chinese people like them. For example, Liyang was once a member of Chinese delegation to bid for the Olympic Games. He did a good job for China. I should learn from him and work hard at English . Only this way can I make my dream come true. Then I will do my best to translate more books into Chinese, making people gain more knowledge. On the other hand, I?ll introduce fine Chinese culture to the world to let the world know China and the Chinese people better.

I know the dream is beautiful, but it?s not so easy to realize. I must stick to my dream, and try my best to make progress every day. Just like a famous English saying goes, ?No pains, no gains?. Where there is a will, there is a way. I believe my dream will come true so long as I work hard.

That?s all, thanks for your listening.
